[back] [Monkey Z50A K6]

The first picture with the new engine.

Technical Data:
- ZongShen 110cc Engine with 24 Mikuni Carb, open intake
- Original Exhaust from old ST50 / CT70
- Taillight and Number-Plate holder from old ST50 / CT70
- Tire Sizes 130/70-10 rear and 100/80-10 front (or original tires 3.50-10)
- US-Style fenders
- new seat from old ST50 model
- speedometer with 100 km/h max. speed
- completely street-legal as motorbike

My "new" speedometer. Used, but cood condition and max. speed 100 km/h. Note the 5 gearshift marks.

Now with correct size tires: These are Pirelli Unico in 100/80-10 (front) and 130/70-10 (rear). They turned out to be a good choice, though I originally wanted Metzeler ME7.
It works! There is not much space between the chain and the (now much wider than original) tire, but it works. No tricks. The chainguard is missing on this picture, it had to be modified  by cutting away a good piece of it.

A Set of wheel-hubs, sandblasted and with new bearings. Still need to be painted or powder-coated.

Oktober 2005  A new exhaust from R+L, making the 108cc ZongShen engine go much better than with the original exhaust.
I replaced the shock absorbers with KYB/KITACO shocks that gave a BIG improvement to riding comfort.
